Products

Cod from both the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean make up more than 95% of our production:

Pacific cod – Gadus Macrocephalus
The fish is caught by American and Russian line fishing boats in the Pacific. Immediately after the fish is caught, the head is cut off and the fish is cleaned and deep-frozen in blocks. The fish is carried to Europe in trampers or containers, mainly from Dutch Harbour in Alaska or Pusan in South Korea. The fish is then kept in cold stores in Germany, the Netherlands or at Jeka Fish in Lemvig before processing.

Atlantic cod – Gadus Morhua

The fish is mainly caught by Norwegian and Russian line fishing boats in the Barents Sea. Immediately after the fish is caught, the head is cut off and the fish is cleaned and deep-frozen in blocks. The fish is normally unloaded in Norway and kept in cold stores in Norway or at Jeka Fish in Denmark before processing.
