Production

Total production equals more than 14.000 tonnes of gutted white fish without head, mainly cod. In Lemvig we can store 1.800 mt. of frozen raw material in our cold stores. From April 2008, we will be able to store around 2.500 mt. of frozen raw material. In addition, we store raw material in cold stores in the Netherlands, Germany and Norway. Production is relatively constant and evenly distributed, but our main season runs from September until Easter. Our thawing capacity is 80 tonnes of raw material per day.

  Our primary production activities take place in Lemvig – home of our production of light salted IQF fillets and re-fresh fillets/loins. The fully salted fillets are salted in Lemvig but matured for 14 days and packaged at our plant in Nissum, approx. 10 km from Lemvig. From April 2008 all processing will take place in one factory in Lemvig. Jeka Fish focuses on using the best production equipment available. Our modern plants allow production to be optimised, while ensuring quality control and traceability.
